  NORTHERN COLORADO ASSOCIATION of REAL ESTATE APPRAISERS

                 

  The Northern Colorado Association of Real Estate Appraisers (NCAREA) was established to fill an obvious need in the appraisal profession. Most of the real property appraisers are working alone or in small offices. It is estimated there are about 1.3 appraisers working in the typical appraisal office.

   

  After talking with many working appraisers, the founders of NCAREA came to the conclusion that the vast majority of appraisers feel professionally isolated. It was felt that the appraisers working in the northern part of Colorado needed an organization that would provide: universal membership entry; regionally relevant continuing education opportunities; the opportunity to exchange ideas and information in an informal setting; the opportunity to associate with appraisers having expertise in other property types or geographical areas.

   

  The purpose of NCAREA is to help appraisers fill these needs.

   

  The NCAREA is modeled after the Colorado Association of Real Estate Appraisers (CAREA) in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The CAREA is most active in southeastern Colorado. It seemed like a natural fit to have a similar organization in northern Colorado.
